This programme is in compliance with the rules and regulations of the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) and the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC).
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility/ Pre-requisite for admission:
Admission to Ziauddin University Faculty of Law, Politics & Governance for a one-year LL.M. International Commercial Law degree programme in collaboration with the University of Northampton is open to all individuals who meet the selection criteria. All candidates are selected for their academic achievements and potential. Students are admitted to the programme on prior academic records at the bachelor’s level, English proficiency, and an interview conducted by the Ziauddin University, Faculty of Law, Politics & Governance.
To be eligible, candidates must possess any one of the following:
- Minimum upper-second-class degree from a U.K.-based University
- 4-year Bachelor’s degree from an HEC-recognized university with a minimum (cumulative) score of 60%
- 5-year Bachelor’s degree from an HEC-recognized university with a minimum (cumulative) score of 55%
- 2 or 3-year Bachelor’s degree from an HEC-recognized university with a minimum (cumulative) score of 55% AND a Master’s degree from an HEC-recognized university with a minimum (cumulative) score of 60%
To satisfy the English language requirement for the LL.M. programme, students must have one of the following:
- IELTS 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in writing and a minimum of 5.5 in all other bands

***The student may also have other expenses that may include books, trip to the UK (approximately GBP 1,000), visa and travel costs.
Note: Any additional taxes imposed by the government will be the liability of the students/parents/guardians. The University reserves the right to increase the fees if required according to the recommendation of the Governing Body. Advance fees to be paid per annum. All dues need to be cleared within two weeks of commencement of the academic year. 2% surcharge per month will be levied on outstanding fees after the due date.
